The student must send us the proof documents within 7 days of receiving them. This policy is valid until the 15th September. For January 2021 start dates, our cancellation deadline for No Place No Pay and No Visa No Pay is on the 30th November 2020. No Visa No Pay: if the student doesn't get their visa to come and study in the UK, the student must send us the visa application rejection letter within 7 days of receiving it and we will cancel the booking and refund the money to the student. The cancellation requests along with the proof documents must be sent by the student, from the email address they have registered their account with Unite. The email must be sent either from the student to the agent, and then the agent contacts our teams. Or the student can directly email Landlord. Replacement tenant found: if the student finds a replacement tenant to take over his room with the same tenancy length and same weekly rate, we can process the booking for the new student, and once the offer has been accepted by the new student and his guarantor, and that they have paid the £250 (if applicable), we will release the original student from their contract.

The room itself was lovely, I had an en-suite which was perfect for first year. The fortnightly cleaner was a life saver, didn't stay clean for long but that's to be expected. Week 1 I had a cockroach in my room, which I'd been warned about from reviews but I'm a clean person so I thought I'd be alright. The guy who came to check our flat said my room was the cleanest student room he's seen so we can't be blamed for the cockroaches. And for £150 a week (total rip-off) we shouldn't have had to live with those.. The kitchen constantly had weird black bugs the size of 5ps, and our oven didn't really work so the kitchen was the worst part about this accommodation. Amazing location though, quick walk to the arndale and a fab takeaway place underneath the accommodation for after nights out. The location of the New Medlock House is just way too good for students who will be walking all the time as it's close to anywhere in the city centre. Apart from that, a lot of buses available so you can get through anywhere you like (convenient).
